Hosted cash-and-test board

Push the one number that actually pays you back.

Profit Lens sits on your account, not in a disposable browser tab. Sketch how cash arrives today, rank which input moves it, and leave with a test you can run this month.

  • Rank each input by dollar movement
  • Start from a goal and work backwards
  • Lock today’s figure before you try a change
Arithmetic first

The board uses the figures you typed. No hidden scoring layer.

Assumptions stay on screen

Hard numbers, rough guesses, and blanks sit next to every dial.

Your shop or their shop

Run it on your company, then park a client’s figures on the same desk.

Busy is not the same as better

A packed week can still miss the only number that mattered.

Ads, funnels, and new offers feel like progress. If they do not touch the input that actually moves cash, the calendar fills and the bank does not.

Motion is not money

More traffic and more content can look healthy while the paying step stays flat.

Equal effort is a myth

Nudging one input by a tenth can beat a huge campaign aimed at the wrong place.

A pretty plan still needs a ceiling

If the team cannot serve the extra demand, the extra demand is theatre.

A path you can repeat

Sketch the cash. Rank the dials. Try something small.

  1. 01

    Sketch

Write how sales actually happen in this company.

  2. 02

    Rank

See which input moves cash the most on paper.

  3. 03

    Aim

Start from a goal and see the shortest path back.

  4. 04

    Try

Lock today’s figure, then run a short test.

  5. 05

    Record

Put the result back into the sketch.

Inside the account

Deep when you open it. Quiet when you do not.

Income Sketch

Write the path cash already takes

Pick a business type, fill the inputs you have, and watch sales and contribution update as you type.

  • Sales, contribution, and a hard ceiling if you set one
  • Mark each input as known, rough, or blank
  • Shop, studio, service, software, and mixed types

What-if Board

See which dial is worth the week

Each card nudges one input and shows the dollar swing, so you stop treating every idea as equal.

  • Same-size nudge on every input, ranked by cash
  • Start from a goal and solve each dial on its own
  • Confidence sits next to the dollar figure

Test Bench

A pretty total is useless until you try it

Lock today’s sales figure, name the test, and keep a one-page brief you can take into a meeting.

  • Today’s number is frozen so later reviews stay honest
  • Short brief, ranking sheet, and test note
  • Print or save as PDF from the same screen

If you advise other companies

Keep every client’s figures on one desk.

Park a company, run their sketch, show the ranking, and leave them with a test they can pay you to run.

Win the work

Sell a numbered review of where cash is stuck — not another vague monthly retainer.

Do the work

Same path every time: sketch, rank, aim, test, brief.

Stay on

If the test lands, keep the same desk for the next cycle.

Questions

Plain answers.

What kinds of companies can I sketch?

Online shops, file products, booked services, retainers, memberships, software, referral payouts, storefronts, and a blank type if none of those fit.

Do I need a finance background?

No. You enter reach, buy rate, ticket size, how often people return, margin, and an optional ceiling. Sensible inputs still matter.

Does this pull from my bank or checkout?

Not yet. You type the figures. Live feeds are a later add-on, not part of this release.

Will this make me more money?

No tool can promise that. Profit Lens shows what your own figures imply. Markets, delivery, and luck still sit outside the screen.
